Behavioral Health Court Coordinator

difference in lives.Job Purpose: As a Behavioral Health Court
Coordinator at Aspire Health Partners, your job purpose will be to
serve as the qualified professional and coordinator as it applies
to the Marchman Act, Baker Act, and their subsequent assessment,
court processes, and care coordination components.Job Functions
- Oversee and facilitate the day-to-day operations and processes
of Marchman Act and Baker Act involved cases across all AHP
facilities, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory
requirements.
- Serve as a qualified professional for the Marchman Act, which
includes, but is not limited to conducting involuntary assessments
to assist in identifying the least restrictive treatment option
based on ASAM criteria, ensuring the proper completion and
submission of all court documentation, serving as the liaison with
the court on Marchman Acts, completing court testimony, and
ensuring all components of the Marchman Act are carried out in
accordance with the law
- Communicating with petitioners, support system, and other
interested third parties, as appropriate; assist with licensure
sign off of clinical documentation, such as assessments, treatment
plans, and transition plans, as needed.
- Serve as the care coordinator for the Baker Act, which
includes, but is not limited to collaborating with psychiatrists
and PMHNP providers on assessments and recommendations, ensuring
the proper completion and submission of all court documentation,
serving as the liaison with the court on Baker Acts, which may
involve coordinating medical provider engagement in the hearings as
needed, completing court testimony, communicating with petitioners,
support system, and other interested third parties, as appropriate,
and ensuring all components of the Baker Act are carried out in
accordance with the law; assist with licensure sign off of clinical
documentation, such as assessments, treatment plans, and transition
plans, as needed.
- Participate in unit treatment teams to facilitate the
assessment and recommendation process for clients under a Marchman
Act or Baker Act to ensure compliance with processes,
documentation, and timeframe requirements, as set by statutory and
regulatory requirements.
- Provide care coordination for clients under an active Marchman
Act or Baker Act/AOT court order for treatment. This may include,
but is not limited to, developing and facilitating transition of
care plans, which at times may be in collaboration with other team
members, community partners, governmental entities, and client
support system, to either AHP or non-AHP programs in accordance
with treatment recommendations and court orders and providing
required and as requested written and verbal updates to the
judicial system.
- Ensure proper communication and information to clients under a
Baker Act or Marchman Act, which includes a comprehensive
transition plan that includes, but is not limited to, information
specific to their case, contact information for the Behavioral
Health Court Coordinator, the courts, and other helpful
resources.
- Track case statuses and provide accurate and timely information
updates to AHP treatment teams and leadership, as appropriate, on
clients actively under a Marchman Act or Baker Act.
- Document and appropriately bill all assessments, hearings,
treatment teams, and information throughout the process accurately
and in a timely manner in the EHR.
- Ensure all documentation submitted to the judicial system is
accurate, timely, and consistent with professional/APA writing
standards and is on required forms and in required formats.
- Provide updated information to the UR team to ensure ongoing
authorizations, as needed.
- Carry out efforts to identify community resources and their
referral processes to meet the complex needs of the clients;
working to maintain effective and professional relationships with
community partners to ensure successful collaboration and referrals
for clients.
- Accurately maintain the records system for Marchman Act and
Baker Act documentation.
- Conduct audits on the quality of care, documentation, and
process facilitation
- Collect and track data on the success of the Marchman Act and
Baker Act process as it relates to compliance with processes and
timeframes, proceeding outcomes, and, where possible, client
success.
- In conjunction with leadership, utilize information to assist
in the development and facilitation of corrective action plans
associated with audit outcomes to ensure compliance with statutory
and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate ongoing Marchman Act and Baker Act trainings for AHP
team members and as requested trainings for community
partners.
- Assist with assessment and recommendations and transition
planning of all clients, as needed, regardless of legal
status.
- Most importantly, all functions must be completed while
maintaining high standards of ethical and professional conduct
while adhering to agency policies and procedures.Position
qualifications: Ability to receive and maintain a(n)
- Level II Background clearance
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver's license record
in accordance with the underwriting guidelines set by Aspire's
insurance company.
- Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or
like field
- LMHC/LCSW/LMFT active FL license
- CAP, preferred, but not required
- Computer literacy
- Previous experience with substance abuse and mental health
populations
- Previous assessment and diagnosis experience
- Previous acute care experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a
larger team
- High level written and verbal communication skillsAll the
