Job Description Rheumatologist – Outpatient Practice Opportunity Overview A well-established, physician-led outpatient practice is seeking a Board-Certified Rheumatologist to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care for patients with autoimmune, inflammatory, and musculoskeletal diseases. The practice operates a high-efficiency outpatient model with integrated services including in-house infusion capabilities, laboratory support, and opportunities to participate in clinical research. The role involves diagnosing and managing complex rheumatologic conditions while collaborating with multidisciplinary clinical teams and advanced practice providers. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive outpatient rheumatology care including diagnosis, treatment planning, and long-term disease management Evaluate and manage complex autoimmune and inflammatory conditions such as: Rheumatoid arthritis Psoriatic arthritis Lupus Vasculitis Spondyloarthropathies Prescribe, monitor, and manage DMARDs, biologics, and infusion therapies in collaboration with the infusion services team Collaborate with and supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) as needed Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Participate in quality improvement initiatives and follow evidence-based clinical protocols Work closely with patient access teams and prior authorization specialists to ensure efficient therapy initiation Support infusion safety and manage infusion-related reactions when necessary Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations including patient privacy and clinical safety standards Participate in clinical research opportunities if interested Contribute to a collaborative, patient-focused clinical environment Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution Board Certified in Rheumatology Active and unrestricted state medical license (or eligible for licensure) Active DEA registration Experience managing biologics and infusion therapies preferred Strong clinical judgment and commitment to evidence-based practice Excellent communication and team collaboration skills Commitment to patient safety and high-quality patient care
